PORTFOLIO (1 - 3 Sessions)
Most popular sessions involve a critique of 6-10 paintings, identifying strengths and weaknesses in your overall body of work and providing concrete suggestions, tools and strategies to address them.
STUDIO PAINTING PRIVATE STUDY (Custom)
Private study begins with a Portfolio reveiw session, discussion and assessment of your work and artistic goals. We will create a custom schedule of private study with assignments designed to reach your specific and concrete goals.
* One month. (2 - 4 sessions).
* PLEIN AIR PRIVATE STUDY
(3.5 hour session) Private or small, 2-3 person group.
Outdoor painting from life is a necessary practice to deepen your observational skills and develop sensitivity to light, color, space and atmosphere. Through individual or small group study sessions, I will simplify the outdoor painting process using an Impressionist strategy of direct painting techniques, breaking down a painting into three smaller, compartmentalized wedges. We will cover tools, materials, how to see like an artist, design, value, drawing and color principles.
* 3.5 hours per Plein air painting session = $300 Private session.
* Small group two painters = $400 total.
* Small group three painters = $500 total.
* ART CAREER MENTORSHIP (3 Session minimum).
Private Art Career Mentorship begins with a Portfolio reveiw session and discussion of your work and your artistic and career goals. We will discuss Industry standard practice, the various market places, branding, professional considerations and begin to craft a holistic, long term veiw of a career philosophy and strategy that fits into your life. Additional sessions will include pricing strategy, marketing and research, getting into art galleries, social media and promotion and conducting yourself professionally in the industry and in your studio.
* Three one hour sessions minimum.

Todd Bonita

TODD BONITA (b. 1968)
After graduating from the Art Institute of Boston, I continued study of classical painting and drawing at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. A twelve year career as an illustrator followed until I focused full time on fine art oil painting in 2006, creating oil paintings for art galleries and collectors. I currently maintain a studio space at The Button Factory artist studios in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I love painting coastal New England imagery outdoors in plein air, equally as much as crafting more involved compositions in my studio. Above all, I love the process and simple joy of being with my tools and painting.
My work is currently represented by ten art galleries around New England, Florida, Canada and the UK. and is in hundreds of corporate and private collections world wide, including 41st U.S. President, George H. W. Bush. I have had the good fortune to have exhibited in four Art museums and I am blessed to call this craft that I love my full-time occupation. I currently own and operate the Todd Bonita Art Gallery in both Ogunquit, Maine and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I am also owner of the Ogunquit Art Colony School, where I teach painting classes and International art workshops year round. I have been painting, teaching and coaching art for almost 30 years. I am happy to share my experience and professional expertise with you. I live on the New Hampshire seacoast with my son Max and daughter Kate.
Life is good.
