The importance of drawing in good painting or as a craft itself is essential to the artist.  During the Renaissance, "The Holy Trinity" was an artist reference to refer to the three most important elements that contribute to the pass or fail of a painting : "Drawing, Design and Values". Drawings importance is paramount for the artist.

Join a small group of like minded peers interested in cracking the codes to good drawing. We will meet weekly in a friendly art gallery setting, learning and practicing the fundamenmtals of draftsmanship.  Through lecture, demonstration, exercises and study, students will be equipped with a broad understanding of drawing priciples.

We will cover:

* The five types of light
* Light & The three objects theory
* Gestural (Center line)
* Drawing for landscape painters
* Right-brain drawing
* Site - size and academic drawing
* Kinetic expressive drawing
* The Envelope, Diagramatic lines, The Unit and Negative shapes.
* Notan and thumbnail sketching
