Details:
What:
Artist paint outdoors in Rotary Park in Perkins Cove.
When:
Daily through Columbus Day...(10am to 5...minimum of three hours). Artist can apply to paint for one day or more calendar days through the season.
Details:
It is suggested that artist Paint from a photo but the choice is up to the artist. Bring a model, still life or Plein air if you wish ...whatever the artist wants. We have a specific spot in Rotary square so the view is limited. I’ll be painting from a photo but please feel free to do as you choose.
* Artist can sell off the easel, pass out business cards and you are free to demo and lecture at your discretion.
* You can bring 3 or 4 paintings framed and for sale that will be featured on an easel in front of the Todd Bonita Gallery (30 feet from Rotary Square where you will be painting). This is a town sponsored event, the art for sale in front of my gallery is a bonus I’m providing to support art in the cove, incentivize the artist and revitalize the spirit of the art colony. Standard gallery sales commission applies.
Promotion:
This will be advertised through the town of Ogunquit Parks and Recreation efforts to revitalize Perkins Cove. It will also be featured on my website, Todd Bonita Gallery.com. We will launch, with the help of the artists, a daily social media campaign. Our mailing list is more than 2500 Strong.
Tip:
I suggest painting larger than 9x12” as this is a public event so ideally, your art can be seen by onlooking spectators viewing from at least 6 feet away.
Parking:
We are working with the town to provide a free parking spot in support of the artist in residence at Rotary Square in Perkins Cove. This is a vital piece and the last part that we hope to have finalized by next week.
* multiple Artist can car pool and take turns painting with your art friend in rotary square. The other is welcome to paint elsewhere in the cove or on marginal way in support of the revitalization project..have fun.
Other:
Bring an easel and your outdoor painting supplies. Water, snack or lunch. Sunblock, hat, business cards ...the usual gear for outdoor painting. There are plenty of restaurants and the public restrooms are clean.
Covid-19:
There is an excellent professional sensitivity to Covid 19 from the merchants and staffers who operate the cove. Tourists seem to play nice. Wear a mask and social distance. Note that Maine and New Hampshire lead the nation in the declining number of Covid 19 cases. We are doing an excellent job.
Application process:
1) Artist send samples of their works and brief bio info or link to their website to Todd Bonita

Please include as many dates between July 27 and October 15.
