WHAT IS A HAND EMBELLISHED GICLÈE ?
A giclèe printer provides the highest quality reproduction, emitting one million dots of ink per square inch. Thes acid-free, archival inks possess light-fast integrity for up to 300 years. Our giclèes are printed on canvas to better replicate the texture of the original surface it was painted on. Each canvas is then hand painted with thin, transparent glazed layers of oil paint and then complimented with thicker, impasto passages, making them indistiguishable from the originals. This method of adding oils by hand is called, "Hamd Embellished" and is a painstaking process sometimes taking days to complete a single canvas. This insures that no two are exactly alike. Each Edition is limited to 100 (unless otherwise noted) and then the plate is destroyed foever. All editions are created in the size they are listed below, but please contact us if you are interested in a custom size for a quote.
